NADAP’s SACAP program, a leader in providing personalized assessment and referral services to public assistance clients, seeks an energetic and engaging Assessment Specialist- Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) to be part of their dynamic team of professionals.
The Assessment Specialist- Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC), is committed to improving the substance abuse client’s quality of life by applying clinical judgment to determine clients needs and appropriate levels of care to connect them to chemical dependency treatment. In addition, the Assessment Specialist – Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) reviews client’s progress to further assist in recovery with the ultimate goal of self-sufficiency.

Requirements:

Must have an active NYS CASAC credential
Three (3) years of experience in a substance abuse treatment setting such as methadone clinic, outpatient, residential
High School Diploma or General Education Equivalency (GED) required, Bachelors degree preferred
Bilingual: English/Spanish is a plus
