Overview

Education and/or Experience : Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related discipline from an accredited institution preferred. Master’s degree preferred, not required. Substance Abuse Counseling for at least 1 year.

CADC required. DUI experience /training / and certification preferred.
Skills: Experience using desktop computers, copier, fax machine, and electronic mail software

Job requirements : Ability to work flexible hours (evening/weekend hours). Bilingual skills not required but preferred.

Job Description:
Develop client treatment plans and conduct continued stay review based on research, clinical experience, and clients’ histories. Provide client intakes, treatment planning, case coordination, aftercare planning and discharge with individual and group therapy for a full spectrum of referral sources.
-Complete and maintain accurate records or reports regarding clients’ histories and progress, services provided, or other required information.
-Review and evaluate clients’ progress in relation to measurable goals described in treatment and care plans.
-Modify treatment plans to comply with changes in client status.
-Mediate as an advocate for clients or clients to resolve emergency problems in crisis situations.
-Counsel clients individually, or in group sessions, to assist in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, or making changes.
-Provide clients or family members with information about addiction issues and about available services or programs, making appropriate referrals when necessary.
-Plan or implement follow-up or aftercare programs for clients to be discharged from treatment programs.
-Follow progress of discharged clients to determine effectiveness of treatments.

This position reports to the Director of Counseling

Work Schedule: part-time.

This position pays $17/hour. The schedule is 6 hours a day/4 days a week=24hours per week and taxes are not withheld (1099).

We pride ourselves on being committed the client and the clients' needs.We have been in existence for almost 20 years and believe that a supportive and transitional living environment was needed in the recovery community. We are DASA Licensed and funded by IDHS/IDOC. We are seeking an individual that is knowledgeable and skilled in substance abuse counseling and DUI to join our staff.
